We're looking for a Line Producer to join us on Digital!
 Reporting to the Director of Digital Production, in this role, you will oversee all aspects of production planning, whether a project is produced fully in-house, outsourced, or a hybrid. You will own production oversight across all phases from scripts, voice records, storyboards, animation, and post-production through final delivery. As part of the Digital Team, you may be required to balance and actively manage multiple projects and/or clients simultaneously. You must have strong knowledge of 2D and CG animation production pipelines. Additionally, familiarity with live-action and stop‑motion production will be an asset, supporting informed planning and problem-solving across diverse production models. 
 
Start Date: April - June 2026*
End Date: December 2026 - April 2027*
Job Location: Vancouver - Hybrid/Flexible*

What You’ll Do
Own day-to-day production execution in partnership with the Director of Digital Production, taking responsibility for maintaining schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with creative and operational goals. 
In collaboration with the Director of Digital Production, development, and technical teams, drive the planning and implementation of production resources and strategies necessary to support the project. 
Oversee the script process, including clearances, script meetings, delivery timelines, and related budgets, ensuring accountability across stakeholders, in collaboration with the Director of Digital Production. 
Manage voice records, casting, and associated budgets, partnering with the Director of Digital Production to ensure creative and financial objectives are met. 
Own cost report review and ongoing budget tracking, partnering with the Director of Digital Production, and actively participate in Finance and Production cost report meetings to flag risks and recommend corrective actions. 
Initiate and manage contract generation for crew and external vendors, serving as a primary point of contact with Legal on contract status for independent contractors, composers, and vendors. 
Lead crew planning and staffing execution in partnership with the Director of Digital Production and Artist Management, ensuring staffing plans align with approved budgets and schedules. 
Participate in interviews and the hiring process as needed to support the Director of Digital Production and / or project leadership in identifying and hiring strong project-fit talent.  
Represent production in project leadership meetings, providing clear updates and taking accountability for action items tied to schedule, workflow, and budget outcomes. 
Work with the Digital production team to proactively identify and resolve production challenges.  
Work with the Digital production team to ensure data is collected and evaluated against project assumptions on an ongoing basis.  
Monitor production health, flagging schedule, scope, or budget risks early and recommend mitigation strategies to the Director of Digital Production. 
Ensure all production work meets studio standards and is completed within the established deadlines.  
Directly supervise assigned departments and oversee Production Coordinators, providing mentorship and feedback.  
Monitor crew attendance and manage payroll processing.


What You’ll Bring
Experience as a Producer or Production Manager for either CG or 2D animated episodic productions, ideally with knowledge in pre-pro and production  
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly set priorities, manage expectations, and drive alignment across Artists and Creative teams 
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently 
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional creative teams and take initiative in fast-paced production&lt;br /&gt;

Document: Create, and update documentation and provide training for stakeholders on new tools and processes.

What You'll Bring:
BS+ in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience 
Experience with Houdini and/or Gaffer and/or Katana
Familiarity with FX, Grooms, or CFX workflows and tools
Experience developing and delivering software in a professional environment 
Experience with Python, C++, or other object-oriented programming language 
Experience with Git or other revision control system 
Experience with databases 
Experience with Windows and Linux 
Nice to Have: 
Experience developing for Animation or other creative industries, and their DCC applications &amp; APIs 
Knowledge of networking and performance optimization 

Pay Range: $75,000 - $125,000 CAD per year
Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.

Reporting to the Producer, in this position you will have exceptional character animation skills and considerable experience in CG animation for broadcast television or feature film productions. You excel at creating high-calibre, dramatic and action-oriented character animation, while at the same time meeting production deadlines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

What You’ll Do:
CG visualization of storyboard animatic  
Establish camera blocking, composition and lens choice  
Character key posing and animation 
Work with the Previs/Layout Supervisor to provide coverage options to Director  
Work with the Previs/Layout Supervisor to ensure work adheres to the vision set out by the directors  
Proactively identify possible creative / technical problems with shots  
Ensure the Previs/Layout team is productive by answering questions that arise  
Train, mentor, and motivate new Previs/Layout Artists who are placed on the crew  
Assist Previs/Layout team in execution of camera lensing and staging, composition and blocking of scenes from storyboard animatics  
Complete assigned sequences within scheduled timeframe  
Ensure shot continuity  
Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from lead Layout artist  
Assist /guide Previs/Layout Artists in the organization of their assignments  
Keep current on Layout techniques and technology  
Create and rig proxy models as needed  

What You’ll Bring:
3+ years of experience in animation or film industry  
Solid knowledge of Maya is essential  
Ability to interpret storyboards and realizes them in a CG environment  
Firm understanding of cameras, staging, composition, perspective, pacing, timing and cinematography concepts in animation context  
Solid understanding of cinematic language and camera terminology  
A strong understanding of character key posing and a developed foundation of animation principles. 
Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas  
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently  
Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure  
Encouraging attitude towards feedback and new initiatives  
Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience an asset  
Basic modeling and rigging is an asset
