What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Producer, Director, Production Designer, Art Director, CG Supervisor, and other craft Supervisors to influence, define and maintain the visual style of an animated project while adhering to budgets and schedules
Establish the technical direction and technical foundation to meet artistic, budget and schedule parameters 
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and production management, while guiding a shot from initial concept through final delivery
Client interaction includes creative reviews and technical presentations with support from Production and Creative Leadership 
Facilitate and develop consensus between technology, artistry, and production management 
Identify, research, recommend and implement new techniques into studio tools, adding value to work produced 
Find a balance between creative needs and technical resources available 
Partner with Production Management and stakeholders to ensure all bids are accurate and include any necessary assumptions 
Ensure that all production deadlines are met while producing work at a quality level in keeping with production requirements  
Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from key stakeholders  
Recommend any crew training needs to Studio CG Supervisor or Head of CG  
Foster and enable communication and collaboration across departments  
Work closely with Production Technology and Pipeline to resolve all technical roadblocks and improve efficiency through workflow and tool creation  
Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment

What You'll Bring:
8+ years of experience in animation or film industry, having held a Supervisory role for at least 5 years  
Excellent understanding of CG feature production pipeline
Excellent communication skills, organization and team awareness  
Strong combined creative and technical background  
Experience with Arnold or RenderMan preferred
Great understanding of animation styles and techniques as well as a solid comprehension of animation production for television or film  
Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional, respectful, and positive manner  
Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure  
Ability to encourage feedback and new initiatives
Ability to travel to our Vancouver studio when required

Nice to have:  
Proficiency in Maya, Nuke, or Houdini
Experience with Gaffer, or node-based software like Katana/Solaris

Pay Range: $75,000 - $125,000 CAD per year

We're looking for a Technical Artist to join us on BEAGLE! 

Reporting to the Producer and working for the 2D Supervisor, the Technical Artist's main responsibility is to marry the pipeline's application workflow with the creative direction of the show.  While highly technical, the ideal candidate must have a creative eye.
 
Start Date: May 4, 2026* 
End Date: November 12, 2027* 
Job Location: Vancouver - Hybrid/Flexible

Pay Rate: 
$1,150.00 per week based on a 40-hour work week

Ensure the successful technical execution of the creative choices in Harmony, Photoshop, After Effects and related DCCs.
Use the studio tools and methods for improving and facilitating a high-quality experience for the artists.
Educate and support artists regarding technical issues, workflows, processes, and best practices.
Provide and implement technical training sessions, and create and update documentation explaining our processes and tools.
Provide support to ensure the successful flow of assets and data is maintained throughout all pipeline steps.
Provide feedback to the Show TDs and 2D CG supervisor to implement optimizations.
Investigate new techniques and implement them with the assistance of the CG Supervisor, Show TD, Pipeline TDs and Heads of Department.
 
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of experience in an animation, visual effects or television production environment 
A generalist understanding of Harmony for rigging, animation, compositing etc.
A generalist understanding of Photoshop for painting and illustration.
Excellent abilities to troubleshoot problems and think creatively to resolve technical issues.
 
Nice to Have:
A generalist understanding of After Effects for compositing.
Experience with Flow and Qube.
