We're looking for a Rigging Supervisor, CG (Feature) to join us on the new Feature!
 
Reporting to the Producer and Rigging HOD, the Rigging Supervisor oversees the rigging team to deliver high-quality, production-ready rigs that meet creative and performance requirements, while collaborating across departments and staying current with evolving rigging technologies.
 
Start Date: Fall 2027*
End Date: 2028*
Job Location: Vancouver - Hybrid/Flexible

Pay Rate: 
Union minimum 2026 - $2345
per week based on a 40-hour work week.

What You’ll Do:
Oversee the rigging team’s day-to-day work, providing creative and technical direction through regular reviews, feedback, and deliverable approvals
Serve as the primary liaison between production, the Rigging HOD, and the rigging team to communicate priorities, risks, schedules, and milestone updates
Review scripts, animatics, and model topology to identify rigging needs, production requirements, and performance considerations
Rig, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve CG assets to ensure stable, production-ready rigs that meet animation performance requirements
Research, recommend, and develop rigging techniques, modules, and workflows that improve production efficiency and expand in-house tool capabilities
Collaborate with animation, modeling, shading, and production teams to support performance and delivery requirements
Partner with production to assign tasks and provide bid times for required rigs based on script, animatic, and production breakdowns
Train artists on rigging workflows, tools, and techniques
Represent the rigging team professionally and constructively in all project interactions
Participate in processes such as hiring, casting, evaluating and coaching 
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of experience as within Rigging Leadership on a feature production
Experience building high-quality, feature-level facial rigs and deformation systems
Advanced proficiency in Maya, including a strong understanding of parallel evaluation and rig performance
Advanced knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming
Strong understanding of anatomy and articulation
 Strong understanding of animation workflows and production needs
Demonstrated technical expertise in character rigging for animation
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Openness to feedback, direction, and evolving production needs
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts across disciplines
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments
Nice To Have:
Experience working with crowd rigs
Knowledge of PySide/Qt
Experience developing and debugging C++ plug-ins for Maya
Experience working with pipeline APIs
Knowledge of nHair or other simulation systems.

We're looking for an FX Supervisor, CG (Feature) on our new feature.
Reporting to the Producer, the FX Supervisor is responsible for defining, guiding, and delivering all effects work on the project. They act as both a creative and technical leader, ensuring that the FX department’s work aligns with the Director’s vision while remaining achievable within production constraints. The ideal candidate is an experienced artist and proven leader. They possess a strong creative eye, with the ability to lead and support their team.

What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Head of Effects Animation, Director, and Art Director to define and achieve the project’s visual direction.
Work closely with CG Supervisors and Show TDs to identify and solve technical issues that arise 
Work with other department supervisors to ensure consistent final pixel quality.
Identify and communicate FX requirements, ensuring they are effectively implemented throughout production.
Review and provide feedback on FX work through regular dailies and weekly reviews.
Mentor and guide the FX team 
Collaborate with Pipeline to improve FX process and workflow  
Provide bid times for all FX tasks
Ensure complete and seamless integration of all FX assets within the pipeline 
Create and maintain FX documentation and training
Ensure that all production deadlines are met while meeting quality standards 
Participate in processes such as hiring, casting, evaluating and coaching
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of FX leadership experience in a similar role, working in feature production
Advanced proficiency Houdini &amp; Nuke
Demonstrated experience creating a wide range of effects, from natural phenomena to highly stylized and fantastical elements
Expert level understanding of modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, compositing and rendering workflows 
Experience prototyping FX pipeline tools and working closely with software developers to design and implement solutions
Expert leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and elevating teams through systems and continuous development strategies
Demonstrates expert problem-solving and communication skills, and adaptability to strategize and communicate changing priorities
Nice To Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Computer Animation, or other relevant area of study and/or equivalent job experience 
Experience with Deadline or equivalent render manager is a plus
Proficiency in Flow Production Tracking is a plus
Python scripting is a plus 
Experience with Gaffer or other node-based lighting tools is a plus
Experience developing FX look materials across meshes, particles, and volumes
Experience with RV would be helpful.
