We're looking for an  Associate Producer to join us on NJC1!
Reporting to the Producer, in this position you will oversee all aspects of production planning – from scripts, voice records, storyboards, animation, and post-production through delivery to broadcasters. You must have strong knowledge of the 2D or CG animation and production process to establish strategies for meeting key deliverables and milestones.
 
Start Date: May 25, 2026* 
End Date: December 18, 2026*                                                      
Job Location: Vancouver - Hybrid/Flexible

What You’ll Do:  
Partner with Producer to oversee and manage the production plan - including schedules, budgets, and all deliverables in collaboration with the VP of Production to facilitate delivery on the creative vision of the series 
In collaboration with the Producer, Development and Technical teams identify and implement the production resources &amp; strategies necessary to support the project 
Support the Producer in managing the script process including clearances, script meetings, delivery, and related budget 
Partner with Producer in managing voice records and VR budget, including casting 
Work alongside the Producer to understand Cost Reports and budget tracking on the project, attending 
Cost Report meetings with Finance and Production 
Work with the Producer in generating contracts for crew &amp; outside vendors 
Works with the Producer and Artist Management on Crew Planning and budget implications 
Attend any meetings with key supervisors to regularly review progress on production schedule and budget 
Working with the Production Manager in seeking proactive solutions to potential production problems identified by the PM &amp; coordination team 
Work with the Production Manager to ensure data is collected and evaluated against project assumptions on an ongoing basis 
Participate in interviews and the hiring process as needed, to support Supervisors in finding talent that will be successful on the project 
Oversee the production’s progress, review reports, and flag any issues to the Producer 
Ensure all production work meets studio standards and is completed within the established deadlines 
May directly manage and organize departments assigned and supervise the Production Coordinators for those departments 
As needed, support Production Manager monitor crew attendance and vacation requests 
Additional support to Producer and Production Manager as needed 
 
What You’ll Bring: 
Solid experience as a Production Manager for either CG or 2D animated episodic productions, ideally with knowledge in pre-pro and production 
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with Artists &amp; Creatives on priorities and timelines   
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
Ability to lead and work well with a diverse creative team 
You are driven, innovative, strategic and solution focused 

Nice To Have: 
Experience dealing with clients 
Experience leading projects with medium and large crew sizes 
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in a related field

Start Date: May 18, 2026* 
End Date: July 31, 2026*                                                   
Job Location: Vancouver/BC - Hybrid/Flexible

Pay Rate: 
Union minimum 2025 $1,050.00
Union minimum 2026 $1,086.75
per week based on a 40-hour work week.

What You'll Do:
Support the Production to ensure each department stays on schedule and deadlines are met  
Track the Production’s progress against the schedule, and collaborate with the Supervisors to reassign workload as needed to meet deadlines  
Daily check-ins with department crew and Supervisor  
Update reports daily to reflect progress and/or flag concerns to the Production Manager  
Effectively communicate priorities, issues, and pertinent production info to crew  
Liaise with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise  
Track crew absences/sick days and informing Production   
Assist the crew in troubleshooting technical issues and liaising with I.T. to resolve  

What You’ll Bring:
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills   
You possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills  
You have a proactive approach to problem-solving  
You have the ability to organize and motivate a talented and diverse crew  
You are proficient in Flow (formerly Shotgun/ShotGrid)  

Nice To Have:
Previous experience coordinating in production/animation  
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel such as basic formulas, formatting spreadsheets into presentable formats, exporting data from Excel to other formats, linking workbooks, sorting data for analysis, copying and pasting data sets between workbooks, and a strong ability to create and interpret reports  
Ability to excel in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment  

This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.
