Overview

WildBrain Studios is looking for an Associate Producer to join our team! 


Reporting to the Producer, in this role you will oversee all aspects of production planning – from scripts, voice records, storyboards, animation, and post-production through delivery to broadcasters. You must have strong knowledge of 2D animation and the production process to establish strategies for meeting key deliverables and milestones.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Partner with Producer or Director of Production to oversee and manage the production plan - including schedules, budgets, and all deliverables to facilitate delivery on the creative vision of the project
  • Provide a weekly Production Report to Producer or Director of Production, with updates to milestone dates and commentary around projections and changes to dates
  • In collaboration with the Producer or Director of Production, as well as Development and Technical teams, identify and implement the production resources & strategies necessary to support the project
  • Support the Producer in managing the script process including clearances, script meetings, delivery, and related budget
  • Manage voice records and VR budget, including casting
  • Work with finance team to track costs against the project budget and attend cost report meetings with Finance and Producer or Director of Production
  • Work with the Talent and Legal departments in generating contracts for crew & outside vendors
  • Work with Talent and Artist Management teams on Crew Planning and budget implications
  • Attend any meetings with key supervisors to regularly review progress on production schedule and budget
  • Working with the Production Manager and/or Coordinators in seeking proactive solutions to potential production problems identified by the team
  • Work with the Production Manager and/or Coordinators to ensure data is collected and evaluated against project assumptions on an ongoing basis
  • Participate in interviews and the hiring process as needed, to support Supervisors in finding talent that will be successful on the project
  • Oversee the production’s progress, review reports, and flag any issues to the Producer
  • Ensure all production work meets studio standards and is completed within the established deadlines
  • May directly manage and organize departments assigned and supervise the Production Coordinators for those departments
  • As needed, support Production Manager monitor crew attendance and vacation requests
  • Additional support to Producer and Production Manager as needed 

 
What You’ll Bring: 

  • Solid experience as a Production Manager for either CG or 2D animated episodic productions, ideally with knowledge in pre-pro and production
  • Experience in managing technically complex projects with highly interdependent deliverables
  • Experience dealing with clients
  • Passion for problem solving with technical personnel
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with both creative and technical teams on priorities and timelines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and work well with a diverse creative team
  • You are driven, innovative, strategic and solution focused 

 

Nice To Have: 

  • Tech environment production management is a plus
  • CG animation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in a related field

Pay Range: $1700 - $2000 for role, per week based on a 40-hour work week. 

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
