Overview

WildBrain is looking for a Designer to join our team! 
 
In this role, you will execute key designs and create original concepts. This position is responsible for maintaining the show style and ensuring that the designs work within the story specifications. 

 

*To be considered for this position you will need to be based in British Columbia. Once confirmed to be going ahead, these roles will be be starting in November/December.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Create original designs on show style according to production schedule 
  • Work closely with Art Director and Lead Designer to keep designs manageable and complete work within the scheduled timeframe 
  • Collaborate creatively with the design and modelling departments 
  • Keep current with scripts and animatics to inform design choices 
  • Learn and adhere to established production methodology 
  • Identify and communicate any issues, concerns or efficiencies to Lead Designer 
  • Participate in production & departmental meetings 

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 1+ years’ of experience in production design for animation
  • Experience with creature design is a plus 
  • Strong drawing and colour fundamentals 
  • Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently 
  • Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure 
  • Openness to direction and ability to embrace change 
  • Strong problem solving skills 
  • CG design and modelling experience a definite asset

Pay Range $1000 - $1725 CAD per week

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individuals brings, with considerations of our internal equity.
