Overview

WildBrain is looking for a Lighting/Compositing Supervisor to join our team! 


In this role you will help refine and elevate our Lighting and Compositing pipeline and oversee the development of tools for premium episodic production.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do: 

  • Establish lookdev lighting environment to match the show’s needs 
  • Assist with the creation of documentation for lighting guidelines and techniques  
  • Manage lighting artists to deliver the productions needs on time and to the expected quality standards  
  • Ensure and maintain the expected render time, quality and style throughout production 
  • Collaborate with Heads of Departments to ensure cross-departmental collaboration 
  • Define lighting scenarios that fits within established timeline, flagging any concerns to production 
  • Support, assist and mentor team members  
  • Approve and review, teams work 

What You'll Bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience in animation or film industry in lighting, compositing  
  • Previous experience in lighting/compositing in feature animation 
  • Experience with sequence level lighting  
  • Good understanding of modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, compositing and rendering workflows  
  • Ability to take direction, collaborate and be a team player  
  • Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive manner  
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure  
  • Experience in Nuke 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Katana  
  • Experience in Arnold   
  • Production experience in Unreal  
  • Working knowledge of Blueprints  
  • Excellent knowledge of lighting in Unreal   
     

Pay Range $1500 to $2300 CAD per week

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individuals brings, with considerations of our internal equity.
