WildBrain Studios is looking for a Render Wrangler to join our team!
Reporting to the Render Manager, the primary responsibility is to monitor and support the rendering process and manage the render farm, ensuring priorities are met while working with Producers, IT and Artists from various departments.

What You’ll Do:
Manage the rendering of all shots in production, and ensure that the render process runs smoothly and is free of issues that may cause delays
Communicate with team leads and Production team on a daily basis, and work closely with the Production, Pipeline, and IT Teams to ensure the timely communication of any issues that arise
Identify, report, and actively participate in solutions to technical rendering, compositing errors, and problem solving/tool building
Ensure the render jobs are running in priority order so that series deadlines are met
Monitor rendering quality and making the required corrections when needed
Organize and manage IO data transfers as required
Monitor render farm and status on regular basis using Render Management software
Manage Studio demo reel needs
Support IT department in installing, maintaining, and upgrading Studio hardware, application software and system configuration
Other Duties as required
What You’ll Bring:
Detail oriented and highly organized; must be able to show initiative, prioritize and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated understanding of the 2D/3D animation production pipeline
Knowledge of Deadline, Qube render farm management software
Experience with PC hardware and Windows and Linux operating systems
You are a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Have:
- Understanding of Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects, Maya, Nuke, other production software desirable
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules
This position is for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, starting early January 2026. This position will be required to work shift hours. This role is required to be located in BC.
Pay Range:
$40,000 CAD per year, based on a 40-hour work week.
Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
