WildBrain Studios is looking for a BG Designer, 2D to join our team! 

Working with the Art Director you will establish a fun original BG Designs that display a strong understanding of perspective, proportion, composition and staging.

What You'll Do:

• Ensuring key and layout location designs are suitable in function and form for the style required by the Art Director 
• Producing designs that show strong understanding of perspective, proportion, composition and staging 
• Ensuring consistency and quality throughout your work 
• Organizing and managing work and files efficiently 
• Other tasks and responsibilities as required for completion of the project 

What You'll Bring:

• You have previous experience designing locations for a 2D project
• You're able to take direction, be flexible and work collaboratively within a team 
• You demonstrate strong comprehension and knowledge of the 2D animation design pipeline 
• You're accountable and self-motivated with strong time management skills 
• You have excellent attention to detail 
• Demonstrated ability to clean up backgrounds, experience preferred 
• You communicate effectively and professionally 
• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school desired 
• Proficient in Photoshop 
• Strong drawing ability and a solid sense of design for 2D animation 
• Strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective, dimension and dynamism 

Pay Range: $1000 - $1725 CAD per week.

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
