Overview

WildBrain Studios is looking for a Lighter/Compositor Artist to join our team!  We are looking for an artist ready to start their Lighting career as this role is a great opportunity for a new graduate!
   
Reporting to the Lighting/Compositing Supervisor, in this role you will demonstrate a broad range of lighting abilities to conceptualize and create the overall look, attitude, and style of character and set within the production. You will work collaboratively with the lighting and compositing team to create high quality aesthetic and technical work.  

Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

What You'll Do:

  • Light shots based on sequences set up by leads or seniors
  • Light shots and deliver on time and to the expected quality standards
  • Collaborate and maintain regular communication with other team members and production.  
  • Work within the lighting and rendering pipeline and troubleshoot common technical issues.  
  • Identify and report any issues that arise that may affect timelines or delivery schedules.  

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 1+ years of experience in animation or film industry  
  • Previous experience in lighting and/or compositing in episodic TV or feature film animation  
  • Solid understanding of lighting, shading, texturing, compositing, modelling, and rendering workflows  
  • Ability to take direction, be flexible, and embrace change  
  • Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive manner  
  • Ability to be proactive, multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure  
  • Ability to adapt to multiple show styles    

UNREAL

Production experience in UE is a must 

 

Nice to Have:

  • Shotgrid knowledge is a definite plus  
  • Working knowledge of Blueprints  

 This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.

Pay Range: $1080 per week.

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
