WildBrain Studios is looking for a Colour Key Artist to join the team on our Feature film!
In this role, you are an essential creative member of the design team. Working under the supervision of the Production Designer and Art Director, you will execute colour keys and style guides for the production. You will strive to maintain the show style with your designs. You communicate effective and production-friendly solutions when requested.

What You'll Do:
- Create character and set colour style guides for surfacing and fur
- Create sequential colour keys for lighting
- Collaborate creatively with downstream departments
- Keep current with scripts and animatics to inform design choices
- Learn and adhere to established production methodology
- Create original designs on show style according to production schedule
- Execute changes on designs based on feedback from Production Designer and Art Director
What You'll Bring:
- Demonstrated feature level digital painting skills
Strong understanding of staging with light, colour and value - Experience in creating sequential color keys for CG feature films
- Ability to create character and set color style guides for surfacing and fur
- Strong graphic design skills
- Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Strong technical skills in Adobe Photoshop
Ability to take direction and collaborate with others - Strong problem-solving skills
Pay Range: $1500 to $2450 CAD per week.
Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
